It takes a team.

While to some, it may seem like it is just our family adopting a sweet, little girl.  But in fact, this is a group effort.  We are blessed to be surrounded by such amazing, supportive people.  My parents came in last night to take the first week with the kids.  Sean's parents are taking the second week.  They all gave up the time in their own lives, their own beds, to take care of our kids.  I am so appreciative of their love and support of our family.  This morning, two of my running friends got up, took us to the airport, and went back home to bed before the sun was even up.  My sister will be helping out with the kids while we are away.  Many other people have offered to give the grandparents a break.  The moms that I carpool with for gymnastics have graciously offered to cover almost every ride back and forth to gymnastics.  This is significant because Kate goes to gymnastics every weekday.   Countless people are praying for this adventure.  We appreciate all of you so much!  We couldn't do any of this alone!

We left these three people behind.  They have my heart.  It was so hard to leave them.  There were lots of tears and sad people last night.  But we'll get to see them again in 2 weeks and they are going to have such fun with the grandparents!  In the meantime, I am having an absolute blast getting to spend time with my husband!  While I adore those kids, their dad is my favorite person in the whole world.  Tuesday we celebrated 19 years of marriage!  Today we're going to share our enthusiasm with a couple hundred people as we all fly together in a large can on the way to China.  Kidding, we won't really tell anyone.  But we are headed to China!  Oh my gosh!  We're headed to China!  We'll arrive in her city around 7:30 am central time zone.  It will be 7:30 pm there.  We meet her Monday!  Can't wait!  Thanks for following along on our journey!
